Playing with wire is another fascination of mine and lately I have been experimenting with hammering heavy gauge aluminum wire with some nice results.
I really like the textured look of the hammered wire and will share more of my experiments soon.

At the studio where I work, we order ours from Dick Blick. It is a 14 guage aluminum wire that comes on a spool. Here is a link to their page http://www.dickblick.com/products/blick-sculpture-wire/
It is found in the Wire section and they call it armature wire. Have fun. Would love to see what you come up with.
